Installation is as easy as hooking up an answering machine
On the back of the unit there are two modular jacks for the telephone line. You must use the cord provided with the machine between the wall jack and the line in plug
1.. Disconect your telephone or answering machine from the wall jack.
2.. Plug that cable into the back of the machine where it says phone.
3.. Using the telephone cord that came with the machine plug one side into where it says line and the other into the wall jack where you unpluged the phone ot answering from.
4.. Now plug the power transformer into a wall outlet that is not controled by a wall switch. The power must remain on at all times. If it does get unpluged it will switch over batteries and then recharge when the power returrns.
5.. Contact the monitoring station and advise them you are going to test your system.
6.. Press you portable button, in 35 to 45 sceonds an operator will talk to you through the base unit. Tell them you are testing. they will turn the system off.
